I would describe my familiarity with Illinois’ Nurse Practice Act to be rather relative and inadequate. I remember my colleagues and I made an attempt to familiarize ourselves with the act and its provisions last year. At the time, a nurse manager in the Med-Surg unit had been terminated, an act that she claimed was wrongful and against the law.
