Yelp is a crowd-sourced review forum, business directory, and public company based in San Francisco, California. The entity hosts, develops content on, and markets the Yelp mobile app and Yelp.com website, both of which publish appraisals regarding other business entities. At the same time, Yelp operates a virtual reservation service referred to as the Yelp Reservations. In the course of its operations, the firm has been accused of deploying unfair business practices to inflate its revenues (Pahwa, 2019 par.2).
