Cons of Legalizing Surrogacy

Surrogacy is one of the reproductive procedure that involves a surrogate mother and expected parents. This practice is majorly considered unethical by various social and religious groups. Surrogacy is legalized in some parts of the world such as India and some of the states in United States (Li, 2017). There are various factors that make this practice to be considered unethical. One of such factors is that surrogacy encourages gay marriages since it allows gay parents to have biological children. Surrogacy is also against most of the world cultures and religions. Legalizing surrogacy may also encourage human trafficking as illegal groups my resort to capturing females so that they can be forcefully used for surrogacy.
