Space Race

The space race was a technology demonstration between the USA and USSR to determine their superiority and show their power in technological advancement.

During world war II US and USSR were allies joined to beat Nazi Germany. After the Hiroshima and Nagasaki attack, the war ended and the cold war came along from the tension between the two countries to compete for superiority. This led to the advancement of engineering and technology which led to the innovation of dangerous weapons referred to two aspects namely militarization and weaponization, intending to scare the opposite side not to attack (Johnson, 2017)
